Climate change is a reality that becomes more evident with each passing season, and constitutes the biggest threat to the survival of humanity. Earth temperatures are getting higher and higher, storms are getting stronger, droughts are more severe and prolonged, oceans get warmer every each year, we keep losing biodiversity at an alarming rate, it's getting harder to guarantee that people will manage to have access to food and the number of climate refugees keeps growing. At Teatro Viriato we feel that Culture plays an integral part in the awareness-raising and transformation of society.
In this very first Ciclo Urgências, we turn the spotlight onto the Climate Emergency, with a programme that tries to nurture, in all of us, a sense of reflection and awareness of how we can contribute to a world that's more sustainable, ecological and environmentally fair.
