Monday to Friday, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. On days with nightime performances, from 6 pm. to 10 pm.

For morning performances, the box office opens 1 hour before the performance and closes 30 minutes after it begins. 

For afternoon performances, on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, the box office opens 2 hours before the performance and closes 30 minutes after the performance has begun.

Reservations can be made by telephone, email or through the official website. Reserved tickets should be picked up within 3 days after the reservation is made and at least 24 hours before the beginning of the show. There is no waiting list for potential cancellations.

In the case of school groups, an adult is entitled to a free ticket for every 10 students. The needy and institutions of solidarity benefit from subsidized tickets through Friends of Teatro Viriato donations.

Teatro Viriato provides, upon payment, buses to bring school groups to the theatre. This service requires advanced booking.

Confirmation of reservations and pick up of school group tickets should be made, at least, one week prior to the date of the show.

After the beginning of the performance, it is forbidden to enter the room (Law Decree No. 35/95, Article No. 34, paragraph 5, of 28th November) and no refunds will be made. Tickets should be kept until the performance ends.

Filming, photographing or recording, as well as, smoking, eating and drinking are strictly forbidden.

At the door, the audience should turn off their mobile phones, beeps and any other sources of sound.

Assistance is provided to the disabled. (Please request in advance).

“Canto do Teatro” – the “Theatre Corner” (permanent exhibition), wireless internet hotspot and foyer, open during the box office and bar schedule.
