For the first time ever, drummer Gabriel Ferrandini takes to the stage to combine his music with that of Evan Parker, Axel Dörner and Sten Sandell. And while these musicians have never played together before, there is nothing but high hopes for this quartet. Ferrandini admits that he has “no idea of what’s going to happen on stage”, but his admiration towards the others’ inspiring careers makes him believe that this quartet can conquer the hearts and ears of jazz and improvisation fans.
Aiming to grant more creative and performing freedom to Ferrandini’s drums, the quartet is based around the idea of a classic quintet, but in this case without a double bass.
Without barriers, without hierarchies, the quartet takes its jazz influences and opens them up to other universes, some more complex and contemporary, allowing audiences to travel throughout the whole world.
