For the first time in the history of NANT, we kick off this edition with a night of short stage shows – a kind of WARM-UP for what comes next.   

The two pieces that will take to the stage were selected through an open call sent to choreographers and companies on International Dance Day, last April. We sought short works or excerpts (about twenty minutes long), that dispensed complex technical resources. 

The first show to be staged is “O Quê?”, by Mariana Silva, reinterpreting communication between artist and audience. “Isto não é para Gente, é para Besta!”, a show created and performed by Magda, based on a true story, closes the night, exposing, the battles and anxieties of women. 

These shows will be also be presented in the WARM-UP of the next edition of festival Abril Dança, promoted by Teatro Académico Gil Vicente (Coimbra).
