Vontade de ter vontade was born from a feeling of generational confrontation that made Cláudia Dias think about her own generation and how it's connected to what is behind and to what follows. She transforms the stage in a territory - Portugal, creating an interesting scenic device that purposefully limits action. In this X-ray of the country's state of mind she travels towards the future and back to the past without ever lifting anchor from the present. Through movement she throws her look over the current state of affairs in Europe, highlighting the relationships between north and south, colonizer and colonized, between central and peripheral. Vontade de ter vontade is also a kind of inevitability manifest.
