Where was Alphonse the First born? Is Cava de Viriato an Arab fortification? Vissaium challenges audiences to discover and speculate about the greatest enigmas of the living heritage of the city of Viseu.
More than a mere show, Vissaium is a journey through the city streets, an invitation to the enjoyment of its rich archaeological heritage and the exploration of artefacts that tell stories of a place that has always been shared by many cultures who have lived here and here left their mark. In this trip, accompanied by a soundtrack played by the new Viseu band Os Bárbaros, we can meet a Lusitanian woman that reads stones and a specialist in still-to-be-proven theories because, after all, archaeologists have primarily questions and History is not an immutable science.
Note: We recommend the use of comfortable shoes. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions the venue will be performed at Teatro Viriato.
