Produced by Teatro Viriato, Vissaium is a performing arts show that invites us to enjoy Viseu's rich archaeological heritage by journeying through a trail that reflects the city's importance for the construction of the Portuguese national identity.
Travelling from Rua Direita to the roman wall at Rua Formosa, one will discover ancient stones, yet unexplored archaeological sites and artefacts that tell stories of a place that has always been shared by many people who have lived here and here left their mark. On this voyage are footprints more than two thousand years old, stones that tell stories and theories that need to be proven because, after all, archaeologists have primarily questions and History is not an immutable science.
