EXHIBITION
More than a mere festival of performing arts, Viseu A..., that took place in 2013 and 2014, proved itself a daring laboratory of artistic experiments, a veritable project of extroversion with an intense myriad of venues programmed with determination and with the goal of reflecting what is politically and socially dominant, so that one does not simply stumble into art happening on the street. An art project made discourse, bathing the region in culture without it crashing gratuitously into the audience.
It was photographer José Alfredo's task to immortalize the many geographies of sentiment that sprouted from this enterprise. Especially from the high number of premieres developed together with several communities that accepted the challenge of rethinking ideas, social conditions and personal positions.
A professional photographer since 1982, José Alfredo collaborates with Teatro Viriato, since 1998, but also with Câmara Municipal de Viseu, Martifer, Visabeira, amongst many others. His works have been exhibited both individually and collectively. He also participated in various photography contests receiving several awards.
