TRIBUTO A STING

Tributo a Sting is a collective Tributal project recreating songs performed by Sting throughout his career. In an essentially acoustic environment with a very evident groove obsession and a healthy dose improvisation, the performers evoke undying songs from the famous musician and composer and his old band, The Police, like Every breath you take, Roxanne or Message in a bottle. 
These and other themes were recreated by the hand of pianist and arranger Joaquim Rodrigues, making manifest new jazz, funk and rock sounds from deep within the melodies. With his customized versions, the beautiful voice of Catarina Almeida, who imprints a very welcome femininity into the songs, and their remaining accomplices Miguel Ângelo, Bruno Pinto and Márito Marques they pay homage to the genius, simplicity, ecletism and sheer quality of Sting's music.
