Três oficinas para um espetáculo

A group of children of various ages and heights, with serious expressions, stand on what appears to be a stage with drawn houses serving as scenery. The scene depicts a performance of the children's opera ‘Brundibár,’ known for having been repeatedly performed in a concentration camp during World War II.

Always in constant dialogue with current events and based on the text “Himmelweg. Camino del cielo”, by Spanish playwright Juan Mayorga, actress Rita Cabaço, aims to develop a research praxis together with the community of Viseu.

“Três oficinas para um espetáculo” is founded on the study of a stage show – how we may think about it, discuss it and, ultimately, take it to the stage.

After the first workshop that took place this past July, this second workshop explores the idea of “community at risk”.
