Tatabitato

“Tatabitato” is a meeting place between children and their families where music serves as the means of expression, discovery and construction of happiness in one’s life. These workshops are designed by musicians Ana Bento and Bruno Pinto, that take inspiration from Teatro Viriato’s programme and that bring us, with each session, a unique voice-body-movement-object dynamic built from a varied music repertoire.

On February 14th, there’s a special session – Entrudo Chocalheiro – inspired by the customs, games, rhythms and songs that were, and in some cases still are, part of Carnaval celebrations across the country. 

Pássaros e Flores (lit. Birds and Flowers) take over the session on March 21st, sending the audience on a journey filled with colours, smells, sounds – the song and dance of Spring. 

On the last “Tatabitato” of this season, June 13th, Tatabitato Circus pitches its tent on Teatro Viriato’s Studio, inviting the audience to make use of the talents they are going to discover – all this, of course, always accompanied by the excellent music that everyone will help create!
