For five days, dancers and choreographers Cyril Baldy, Kristian Lever, Barbara Griggi, Hugo Marmelada and Sadé Alleyne (Akram Khan Company) share - through the online platform Zoom - languages, methodologies and dance techniques that integrate this year's SUMMER LAB programme which had to be postponed, allowing us, simultaneously, to foresee what the future will bring with SUMMER LAB 2021.
Between July 13th and 17th, in a daily online class, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, the William Forsythe's improvisation method, the Gaga movement language and pedagogy developed by Ohad Naharin, the Akram Khan Company repertoire, but also other dance styles with regular presence in SUMMER LAB, such as Choreographic Laboratory or Classical Dance will be explored.
The next edition of SUMMER LAB will happen from July 12th to 18th, 2021. More information about the programme and how to apply will be available in January 2021.
SUMMER LAB is an intensive dance training programme promoted by Teatro Viriato and Companhia Paulo Ribeiro, aimed mainly at dance students and professionals, but also at non-professionals with dance experience. It's an opportunity to fully immerse in an intense learning experience, where participants are able to share experiences, knowledge, inspiration and passion for all things physical and sensory that compel them to move.
