To celebrate the twenty years of his career, Nuno Cardoso returns to the stage as an actor. But he also returns to Subterrâneo, the play he performed in 1995, for Visões Úteis.
Inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky's Notes from Underground - the work that marks the turning point in the author's writings about Men and their place in society - Subterrâneo gives voice to an harassed man that delivers a soliloquy rife with discrepancies and contradictions.
The play is a monologue that constantly reinvents itself as a false dialogue, with imaginary interlocutors and fake answers that immediately get dismantled, in a game of mirrors where flight and confrontation are equal to the solitude on stage.
