SPEAK LOW IF YOU SPEAK LOVE

Dance

Celebrating 30 years of activity, choreographer Wim Vandekeybus's company Ultima Vez, based in Brussels, is still one of the principal dance companies in Europe.
In Speak low if you speak love the choreographer evokes the emotional facet of love. For Wim Vandekeybus, love is perhaps the most wilful way of being. If, on one hand, this feeling can move mountains, it is, on the other hand, responsible for our biggest emotional distresses. Wim Vandekeybus does not pretend to explain love as a feeling, but aims to analyse it through contemporary dance and music. The choreographer once again collaborates with musician Mauro Pawlowski, with south-african jazz singer Tutu Puoane, and with both contemporary and more classically trained dance performers. The end-result on stage is a veritable emotive explosion, underlined by an intense choreography, made up of bodies that at times attract each other just to reject each other at the very next moment.
A unique opportunity to see the work of one of the most lauded choreographers, admired by critics and audiences alike.
