In this workshop for teachers/educators, participants are invited to explore materials and creative processes behind the show "Sophia". By exposing our children to the life and work of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen we promote a deeper cultural enrichment of their lives and foster better relations between educator and child. Attendants will work on artistic and pedagogical proposals derived from the themes and materials of the show, looking at younger audiences as if they were any other type of spectators: even though they carry their own unique characteristics, children are an audience to whom we must give the same access to culture - both in variety and quality - that any other demographic group might expect. All that without underestimating their sensibilities, intelligence and ability.
The workshop includes an exercise book that can be used individually or in the context of a classroom.
