Music
After its premiere at Gyuila Shakespeare Festival, Maria João presents Songs for Shakespeare, a concert developed by the singer for her latest project, the Ogre trio.
Ogre is a collective that fuses jazz, electronic music and other sounds, together with unusual instrumentation and a singular artistic approach, aiming to propel audiences back-and-forth between the frontiers of digital and analog.
In Songs for Shakespeare the collective brings to the stage a blend of contemporary music and classic literature. Sonnets by the timeless poet and playwright will be re-imagined and performed with Ogre's unique approach.
