“The fact is, Konstantin Gavrilovich has shot himself…”
Thus ended “The Seagull”, by Anton Chekhov. Afterwards, the curtain fell and the audience applauded the performance of those young artists that were just finishing their theatre studies. Just like Konstantin Gavrilovitch, they carried expectations and anxieties regarding their professional future. Would they reach the visibility that could place them centre stage, chasing new forms or, on the other hand, were they on the verge of their professional project’s suicide?
Twenty years have passed, and Miguel Fragata — one of those young actors – goes in search of his colleagues’ destinies. From hybrid clay mixing fiction and reality, he builds the stage show “Só Mais Uma Gaivota”, where he tries to find the destiny of those characters made artists, after the curtain fell and someone wrote the word “fin”.
