As part of the partnership of Teatro Viriato with the company Dançando com a Diferença for the application for the programme EEA Grants Portugal, Novo Circo will brighten up Viseu's schools.
Xampatito Pato presents for the younger crowd his show "SÓ." ("LONELY."). It's a story about a character with an obsessive, scheming, and meticulous behaviour. A unique being of its kind, endlessly surrounded by boxes, which go beyond his control and with which he plays around to give shape to his world. From the chaos, a delirious universe is born where the laugh is reinvented, creating cosmic madness and transforming himself into a new being, with a new look.
This activity is in INSUL'Arts, project funded by the Agreement of European Economic Area (EEA), Island, where Liechtenstein and Norway are partners in the internal market with the Member-States of the European Union. In order to encourage a continuous and balanced reinforcement of the commercial and economic relationship, the parts of EEA Agreement established a multi-annual Financial Mechanism, known as EEA Grants. EEA Grants aims to reduce Europe's social and economic inequalities and reinforce the bilateral relationships between these three countries and the beneficiary countries. In the 2014-2021 timeframe, it was agreed to contribute with a total of EUR 2.8 billion to 15 beneficiary countries. Portugal will benefit from a sum of EUR 102.7 million.
