WORKSHOP
In Sirkus Cirka, any child can join a circus troupe and embody the joyful circus spirit for a day. Created by the Norwegian company Cirkus Xanti, this pedagogic project/performance turns to the world of clowns, tigers and acrobats from traditional circus to instil participants with a sense of creativity, imagination, social interaction, teamwork and extroversion before a huge audience.
The project is divided into two parts: for the first one, about 25 children will take part in a three and a half hour workshop that'll have them learn and develop the public presentation that they'll star during the second part.
Sirkus Cirka has been performed at several festivals in Norway.
Circus Xanti believes that circus techniques go beyond simply being part of an art discipline and reveal themselves powerful learning and social development tools.
