SENSO

THEATER

premiere
I want to make a Theatre with well-defined social functions. The stage should reflect real life. The audience should be confronted with what is going on outside to reflect on how to manage their lives better. Bertolt Brecht
How do we make a decision? How do we know right from wrong? How do we judge exceptions to the rule? These are some of the questions that director Fraga seeks to answer in his new creation. "SENSO" (Sense) is based on Bertolt Brecht's didactic plays and on a creative lab held at Teatro Viriato with the community of Viseu.
The play seeks to lead the audience in a dramaturgical rereading of the works of the German author, who always advocated for a theatre that reflected on the social issues of the time. It is no coincidence that this work is being presented on the same date as World Theatre Day (27 March). We will all be confronted with what is happening in the world, and be spurred to make our own decisions.
