Samara Lubelski, New Yorker through and through, is one of the great names within the independent universe of bold sound production. Co-founder of Hall Of Fame, and - for over 10 years - an integral part and regular contributor to Tower Recordings as well as other formations lead by guru Matt Valentine, she produced numerous important records of underground rock music - Sightings' Arrived in Gold and Mouthus' Slow Globes to name a few. Nowadays she performs together with Thurston Moore in his Chelsea Light Moving, a quartet that has travelled the world and also includes two members of Sunburned Hand of the Man, Keith Wood (better known by the alias Hush Arbors) and John Moloney.
Wavelength is her sixth solo LP record and a new chapter in a discography marked by consistency and refinement. A very rare case of perseverance, inner peace and calm condensed into song, from someone who continues to dole out, through her work, the glorious exact amount of freedom and curiosity, to continue doing whatever she feels like, and getting better with each passing year.
