Can a cheesecake represent the romance between Romeo and Juliet? Setting up a kitchen on stage, Teatro Praga once again returns to the universe of William Shakespeare, specifically to that classic love story whose narrative revolves around the actions of two teenagers in-love clashing with their families and an oppressing society. In a fun environment, the actors will guide the young spectators through the story of this accursed romance while challenging them to make a cheesecake.
In Romeu & Julieta, performed in an appropriately adapted language, sometimes tragic, sometimes comic, the story will be told with the help of the ingredients and the various steps that take to create a cheesecake. The drama will mix together with the ricotta, the lovers' blood will be the guava jam and taking a bite of a cracker can be a delicious alternative to a broken heart.
