After their critically acclaimed debut album, that received kudos both in Portugal and abroad, Rodrigo Amado Motion Trio have been proving themselves, in concert, to be one of the most interesting projects of the Portuguese jazz scene.
In 2011, while trying to broaden their signature sound, the trio invited American trombone player Jeb Bishop. Known for his habitual collaborations with Ken Vandermark and several other projects based in Chicago (like Peter Brötzmann's Chicago Tentet and Rob Mazurek's Exploding Star Orchestra), the trombone player added his personal voice to this melting pot of sound, elevating the trio's music to another level.
They once again get together, on stage, to present the album that documents their first meeting at Conservatório de Música de Coimbra, in May of 2011.
