THEATER
Due to the artistic quality of the venue and the relevance of its subject matter, Teatro Viriato once again brings to audiences the show Retornos, Exílios e Alguns que Ficaram, staged for the first time in 2014. Constructed from the testimonies and life stories of people that lived in the Portuguese ex-colonies when decolonisation happened, this piece by Teatro do Vestido allows for a better understanding of Portugal's past and present.
Retornos, Exílios e Alguns que Ficaram is presented at Solar do Vinho do Dão, a place closely linked to the return process of many people, for it served as a shelter of the Instituto de Apoio ao Retorno de Nacionais (IARN), between 1975 and 1991 in the region around the city of Viseu.
