In February of this year we inaugurated an exhibition by Liliana Velho in our Foyer – an event that was made even better by the enthusiastic participation of the public. Seven months later, the exhibition turns into a mutable living organism, changing slowly with the passage of time. Between September and December, new pieces enter the exhibition space, subtly changing the installation and inviting the audience to return and accompany these changes.
The installation brings us a reflection on the body as a territory of continuous transformation and highlights clay as an unstable material, simultaneously fragile and resistant, raw and fired. Some organisms survive by breaking apart. Others survive searching for new connections. In both cases, regeneration does not mean a return to the initial state.
Within the ambit of this exhibition there will also be several ceramic workshops.
