The highlight of the first day of Apresentações do Lugar Presente goes to choreographer Paulo Ribeiro, returning to the stage of Teatro Viriato with a "double-feature": one of the pieces presented was created early in his career for the professional circuit while the other was created presently, together with some Lugar Presente students.
Over an entire semester, Lugar Presente dance students, guided by Paulo Ribeiro, developed Ateliê Coreográfico. The end result of hours of work and creative exploration are finally unveiled at this special presentation.
Paulo Ribeiro recovers his solo piece Modo de Utilização, first shown to audiences in 1990, this time performed by Marco Ferreira da Silva, a name at the forefront of the new contemporary dance generation.
