PORTUGAL QUE DANÇA

DOCUMENTARY

PREVIEW
Portugal que dance is a new RTP2 documentary series that Teatro Viriato has the privilege of introducing first hand, by exhibiting the national premier of the episode on the choreographers São Castro and António Cabrita, artistic directors of Companhia Paulo Ribeiro. The aim of this new RTP2 work is to introduce some of the most interesting contemporary Portuguese dance choreographers. São Castro and António Cabrita's work day during the Conception of Rule of Thirds is the starting point for a closer look at these two choreographers' creative world. The documentary follows the construction of the choreographies during the studio rehearsals, records their continuous strive towards perfection and the work's evolution up until the premier, in Lisbon, and afterwards, at Teatro Viriato, in Viseu. At the same time, it shows some of the prior creations, through an analysis carried out by personalities linked to dance.
Teatro Viriato thanks RTP2 for its authorisation to show this episode prior to the television premier.
