POR AMOR!

THEATER

PREMIERE
What is long-distance love nowadays? A love through virtual networks, through books, love letters? What is falling in love with a neighbour or preferring a blind date? What are the odds of a platonic love or a disastrously beautiful first time?
Convening Ovídio, Adília Lopes, Shakespeare, O'Neill, among others who dedicated themselves to the art of (mis)writing the ridiculous, dressed in kimonos, leather or rare silks, Patrícia Portela and Leonor Barata will address the vulnerability, fragility, stupidity but also the beauty regarding this which is «being in love»: with others, by others, with other lives, other things, other places. Mixing poetry and excerpts of Stendhal and Barthes with monologues by Plato, killing us like Tristan or Isolde, or dying in a loving embrace in "Titanic", the aim of this solitary show is to reflect on the space of the novel and the other in a current society.
