"POPULAR" is a show/challenge that builds on the fiction that the creator/performer wants to be a popular artist, challenging the standards of the cultural landscape and popular universe through a fusion of both. The project uses the friction between "culture for the elites" and "culture for the masses" to think about the audience as a collective and the social stratification that this tension may reflect.
Halfway between biography and research, the play poses questions about other concepts that belong to the same lexical family as the word "popular": popularity, pop and populism. "POPULAR" will always end up wondering if it was popular or not.
