Photomaton, by composer and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Mota is a portable solo, a traveling art installation created from a huge suitcase from which objects, sounds and stories pour out, that do not always need the intervention of spoken language.
After creating the Tabula Rasa (an experimental musical instrument Fernando Mota made from a wooden ironing board) he returns with Mala Preparada, an old leather suitcase inhabited by ropes, springs, pulleys and wheels played with hands, chopsticks, a violin bow and who knows what else. With the help of this instrument, the Portuguese guitar and other sound producing objects, travel journals are written.
An album of unusual poetic pieces, a visual/sonorous invention without an instruction manual.
