Music
Aboard the carrack Pequenos Piratas no one fears the sea: chest bursting with courage and eyes chasing the horizon. In this epic exploit there is no lack of salt water and sun, fish and mermaids, storms, treasures! It's the grand adventure of going to the ends of the earth and back.
And this was also more or less how it was, in the turn of the century, for Ana Bento and Bruno Pinto when they departed from the Rio de Janeiro marina aboard the sailing ship Barconauta with a course for the Aveiro harbour: they hugged the Brazilian coast up to Natal, and then crossed the Atlantic towards Cape Verde, made a detour through Mauritania, the Canary Islands and Madeira, spending almost three months in this epic journey that inspired the show Pequenos Piratas.
Rock is undoubtedly the common thread throughout the whole project and is the genre that stands out from this fusion of several music influences. Pequenos Piratas is a staged concert, created to appeal to infants as well as challenge and encourage their intelligence and ability to listen to something that, while being quite different, is very good and makes you feel even better.
