THEATER
After the Proposition, the Invocation, the Dedication to king Sebastian and the trip to India, what's left to discover in Os Lusíadas (The Lusiads)? Is there some history left to find? And was it reinvented at the hands of Camões or is it a statement of truth?
António Fonseca returns to Teatro Viriato with the 'sequel' to Os Lusíadas de Lisboa à Índia - a special narration of the return voyage of the Portuguese sailors that, under the leadership of Vasco da Gama, managed to return to Lisbon, after two years.
The actor brings to the stage a reliving of this (more than) 500 years old trip, in his unique style rife with humour, provocations, questions, sarcasm and a deep knowledge of Luís Vaz de Camões's Magnum Opus.
