Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp (roughly translated as All Mighty Orchestra Marcel Duchamp) is a name that not only contains clear references to some of the most mythical West-African bands but also to one of the biggest dynamiters of 20th century art, Marcel Duchamp.
Their work can be seen as a manifesto for free and adventurous music, sometimes more versatile, sometimes more organised, assuming without ostentation a sort of fragmented futurist traditionalism that combines festivity and war, wedding dances and battle-cries.
