ORQUESTRA GULBENKIAN

Within the ambit of the Gulbenkian Itinerante programme, Orquestra Gulbenkian returns to Viseu for a concert conducted by Valentina Peleggi.
Mackerras Fellow at the English National Opera, she has conducted productions of renowned works such as Carmen, La Boheme or Dido and Aeneas. She is also a guest music director at Theatro São Pedro, in São Paulo, Brazil. Valentina Peleggi studied in Rome, Sienna and England, an academic career awarded, in all institutions attended, with the highest distinctions possible.
The concert will also have very special guests: viola player Sofia Silva Sousa, and violinist Anna Paliwoda.
Gulbenkian Itinerante is an initiative that aims to widen the artistic offers of the Foundation to all audiences and to establish a collaboration platform with other Portuguese agents of culture.
