THEATER
A dinning room. Sitting at a table illuminated by candle light are Helen and Danny, in what appears to be a celebration. Standing, near the door, is Liam, Helen's brother, looking at the couple. Helen and Danny regard him silently. Nobody says a thing. Liam is covered in blood. It's with this image that the play starts. A family portrait that will create an impossible and intolerable movie in the heads of the audience, and that raises pertinent questions about the origin of fear and the desperate need of feeling safe in the company of our own family.
A contemporary story of suspense that takes the spectator on a chilling trip to a world that exists on our own streets.
Órfãos talks about violence and how it imposes itself on our lives. It talks about how life shapes and deforms us. It talks about the choices that define us.
