HIGHLIGHT- Tell me slowly and in well-choreographed fashion... an episode in which you were the one to recognise your family's cellular memory up to the fourteenth generation. - Shall we talk about it? - Do you want to make a quantum leap or listen to techno on a caravel while we're discovering countries?Online distortion / Border line(s)', Pedro Sousa Loureiro
SYNOPSISIs reality as we know it the result of perception or distortion? The show explores this question through the work of the artist Cindy Sherman, dealing with the concepts of femininity, eccentricity, and the unusual.
The show springs from the author's artistic residency in Armenia, in September 2019. The contrasts he witnessed in the country and the contact with several local feminist visual artists, later set against the pandemic in Portugal, led him to explore themes such as: hierarchical relationships, clashes of egos and physical and psychological limits.
With real-time drawing and video projection, this piece will see its text written and renewed weekly from improvisations with each of the performers, accompanied by a musical score created by Francisco Barahona.
