What if every one of us had a master key for this theatre? It's with this significant and symbolic gesture that visual artist and set designer Ângela Rocha pays homage to 25 years of culture, 25 years of Teatro Viriato. This interactive art installation is a replica of the actual building. Making use of painstakingly accurate scale, it invites each visitor to discover 25 universes created for this celebration. Has Shakespeare masterfully teaches us - All the world's a stage. The installation evokes an intimate and personal dialogue between audience and Theatre, in each of its windows a shared experience, inspiration or sustenance for the imagination to discover; an implicit invitation to explore and fantasize. Its handcrafted interior, uses materials repurposed from the Theatre itself, so that it can inherently represent the history it's celebrating. The miniature scale also always implies a closer relationship, in a parallel to Teatro Viriato's mission and relationship with the Community.
