"[O SISTEMA]" is a choreographic piece about something that collapsed while it was being written and conceptualized. It's about a before and an after and, above all else, is a poignant reflection on a system that does nothing for us.
This work envisions the system, any system, as a rock that must be shattered, like there is some precious mineral ore inside that we need to extract, like a diamond in need of lapidation, like a crystal permeable to light. "[O SISTEMA]" explores the solidarity generated within collective work and even broaches the very notion of labour, work as a generator of action, of movement.The stone shattered!
