Masterclass with Portuguese Sign Language
"O Nascimento da Arte" (The Birth of Art) is a long-term project by António Jorge Gonçalves and Filipe Raposo focused on the study and analysis of the first traces of art spread around the world. It's a project that has been taking the artists to residences in places such as Foz Côa, Dordogne and Cantabria.
"Álbum da Família Humana" (Human Family Album) is the first stage of this project, for which they created contents to raise awareness and to promote critical thinking, and to present the history of art as an album, in the form of three webisodes. By exploring the universal recognition of the family structure, the artists build a hereditary bond between prehistoric art and all artistic expression over the last 20 000 years.
In the masterclass, the participants will have the opportunity to watch the webisodes and share ideas about the role of the artistic creation in human life.
