After some time travelling abroad, André Mesquita questions, in Nostos (greek word meaning "homecoming"), what exactly is this thing we call home.
The concept of body/home pervades the new creation of the choreographer, reflecting upon questions of what we really are, of what we take and bring with us.
Nostos, also found in the etymological origin of the vocable "nostalgia", ponders on the power of this same sentiment, on memories as a factor of resilience, on the wish for a time and space long gone, all the while aiming towards a new future.
Australian pianist Simon James Phillips accompanied André Mesquita during the creative process and brings the resulting original themes to the stage.
