“Nós, Sozinhas” is the free-appropriation of a verse by Maria Teresa Horta that gives name to the next stage show of artistic structure Cassandra, written, directed and performed by Sara Barros Leitão. This residency, that includes a reflection with the community on May 28th, sees the continuing of the research process on the subject of abortion – or the voluntary interruption of pregnancy – in Portugal and the world, in anticipation of the celebration, in 2027, of twenty years since the decriminalisation of this practice in our country. A creation that aims to evoke the social mobilisation around this right, recalling voices, stories, tensions and difficulties to arrive at the present and realise that there is still a lot to do.
