Original, with a rare level of quality concerning the creation of music, Norberto Lobo is the kind of musician that seems to create traditions all by himself. Versed in several types of guitars, his latest years have been dedicated to the acoustic, the electric and, more recently, to the tambura. Norberto Lobo does to his guitars what some call pure "exorcism".
Mudar de Bina (Bor Land, 2007) was his debut album, followed by Pata Lenta publish in mid-2009 by record label Mbari, both records were acclaimed and held dear by Portuguese audiences and critics alike who acknowledge Norberto Lobo as one of the principal artists of today's music landscape in Portugal. This October will see the publishing of his latest solo effort, the album Mel Azul (Mbari), which will certainly be another grandiose manifestation of this great musician's creativity.
