"Noite Fora" has the mission of sharing, with audiences, the reading of theatrical texts, creating special moments between artists and spectators. This project, by Teatro Viriato and stage director Sónia Barbosa, has been acquainting the public with authors, dramaturgies and the true relationship between these and artists.
The guest artist of its 19th session, Maria Gil, is renowned for creating shows that create an intimate and direct connection with the public. Her dramaturgies have, as a starting point, autobiographical premisses and the history of people and places that she collects, mixes and fictionalises, constructing a poetic version of our day-to-day. Her works evoke the periphery/fringe, as well as people and places in danger of disappearing.
