Noite Fora

In 2025, “Noite Fora” entered a renewed phase. Dedicating more energy towards dramaturgic creation, mostly through the efforts of a new writing laboratory, which happened in July, and resulted in six original texts, the project goes back to its roots: staged readings performed by local thespians, directed by guest artists. 

In this session, actor and stage director Pedro Gil brings us a staged reading of a chosen piece of writing from those created in the July 2025 writing lab. As always, there’s a group of local performers invited to participate and a talk with the audience afterwards where, among other themes, one may raise questions and reflect on the present and future of Portuguese dramaturgy, the vision Pedro Gil had for the staged text, or even the intricacies of transforming written word into theatre proper.
