EXHIBITION
The exhibition encapsulates one year of collaboration between the illustrator Catarina Fernandes and Teatro Viriato. One year where creativity allowed several means of expression to consolidate into a single language.
Throughout the exhibit one can see that all illustrations were embraced by Teatro Viriato's written communication, in a perfect symbiosis of different but wholly complementary idioms. In a dance of concepts and images, shapes and ideas, the illustrative and written message flows, materializing into an intimate susurration, a visual sound, a pictographic writing where metaphor transcends itself and fuses with the creation into reality.
Catarina Fernandes works together with Teatro Viriato since the beginning of 2010. Having a Licentiate degree in Visual Arts, she has always privileged illustration and photography as her work areas. She also collaborated with several children publications as an illustrator.
