NEW AGE, NEW TIME

For the third year in a row, Teatro Viriato presents New Age, New Time, a contemporary dance showing where Portuguese choreographers have the opportunity to show their most recent creations. The event is not only of importance as a meeting point between choreographers, performers and audience but also to garner support for creators while opening avenues for the circulation of works. This project reflects the hard work Teatro Viriato has been developing in order to expose audiences to contemporary dance.

Classes NEW AGE NEW TIME
In 2014 New Age, New Time extends its activity roster into Lugar Presente - paramount institution concerning the teaching of this artistic discipline - organizing classes with choreographers present at the showing. Teatro Viriato therefore takes this dance cycle even further, by not constraining it to only stage shows. The aim is to allow Lugar Presente students, and all interested parties, to deepen their knowledge on Dance with choreographers who are undoubtedly veritable references in their field.
