NEVOEIRO ADENTRO

THEATER

PREMIERE
During the construction of the new subway station at Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon, a sealed clay jar was found, dated 1579. It contained a small quantity of mist presumed to have been property of Sebastian I, king of Portugal. Historians consider this an invaluable discovery for the understanding of the modern day portuguese.
Inspired by these facts and after years of in-depth investigation, John Mowat and Plot Teatro premiere Nevoeiro Adentro, a chaotic and eccentric look at Portugal and the portuguese, a play where things are turned upside down and inside out, and always seen from an outside perspective. Immersed in a patchwork of myth and legends, this show explores and makes way through a swamp of hilarious historic uncertainties.
