Post-show conversation with the directors, moderated by Inês Costa
In a selection of 4 short films, some in live action and others animated, 4 female directors tell the stories of other women. Using different techniques and motifs, from animated documentary to live action fiction, this session aims to exemplify the sheer variety of women-helmed Portuguese cinema, broaching such topics as work, poverty, migration and domestic violence. These short films, very distinctive from each other, share a common wish to preserve the memory of our stories and those from the ones who preceded us.
