Museu do Falso is a Regional Museum founded in 2012, based in Viseu, with a "pop-up" exhibition model and permanently on-line. It tackles the notions and questions of Cultural Heritage, identity and community, through concept-specific creations under the premise of Simulacrum - but always starting from concrete historiographical elements.
In recent years, its work has been firmly anchored on the following choice: "What is historically and/or heritage relevant, so that it should be integrated into a Museum? From this action, a dynamic of extrapolation arises to a world in which, if that element, that basis for choice, does not exist, what would be the consequences for the construction of our personal selves and our community?"
