EXHIBITION
Choreographed by André Mesquita, Teatro Viriato's Resident Artist during 2013, the photographs of Modos de Ver are a veritable hard copy of his choreographic creation as seen through the eyes others. Chronologically lined up, from the very beginning of platform TOK'ART's existence, they seek to mirror André Mesquitas's past and present choreographic "print" present in his national and international career. The photos that comprise this exhibition were taken by several photographers, but also by dance performers.
Artistically trained at the Academia de Dança Contemporânea de Setúbal, André Mesquita is not only artistic director at TOK'ART - Plataforma de Criação, a position he shares with Teresa Alves da Silva, but also a performer who has worked with several creators, and a highly praised choreographer with national and international critics highlighting his work's sensory quality and originality.
